Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Scheduler for the Ambulatory Clinic.
Position Status: Full Time
Position Location: Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital – Harrisonburg, VA
Standard Working Hours: Day Shift – Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Overview
Schedules procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system. Accountable for accurately obtaining required information in the scheduling process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested has been scheduled.
Schedules appointments and procedures for patients and verifies patient information. Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical records maintenance, and analysis. Performs various clerical and administrative duties.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience in a related area (Medical Office, Medical Terminology, and Customer Services)

Previous experience with scheduling for a medical practice (preferred)
