Sentara BelleHarbour, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a full-time Emergency Room Tech to join our team in a Team Lead role.
We are a 22-bed free standing Emergency Department that sees approximately 80 – 100 patients per day.
We are a state-of-the-art outpatient medical center located in North Suffolk, Virginia. We are here to provide you and your family with convenient access to quality medical care and services. In our facility, we offer 24-hour emergency care, outpatient surgery, family medicine, specialty care, physical therapy, lab and imaging services.

In this role you will:
- Provide hospital based Basic, Advanced, and Specialized Life Support treatment and transportation in the non-emergency and emergency setting.
- Provide training and educational reinforcement for ED Tech I staff as assigned by management.
- Complete clinical competencies and hospital-based orientation on all equipment and procedures required to provide Critical Emergency Level Care.
- Attend ongoing training updates annually.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience as a paramedic, actively affiliated with an EMS agency and in good standing, or
- Two (2) years as a paramedic affiliated with an agency and left in good standing, or
- Two (2) years of experience as a Sentara ED Tech with their EMT-P in good standing or left in good standing.
Certification/Licensure
- Virginia EMT-Paramedic
- NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician)
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
