MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with business continuity emergency/disaster planning and disaster-related resources
- Familiarization with national, state and regional standards required.
Education
- Associate's Level Degree
- Bachelors or Master's Level Degree preferred.
Certifications/License
- Registered Paramedic or EMT in the State of Virginia or has previous equivalent training as a Paramedic or EMT.
- RN (Registered Nurse) applicants must have an active license in good standing.
- Current licensure may be waived for applicants who have attained one of the following certifications: Certified Professional Continuity Practitioner, Associate Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, Incident Command System Certified (IS100, 200, 700, 800) or National Incident Management System Instructor, First Receiver Awareness Instructor, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
Status
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Leadership, coordination and oversight of the equipment and personnel of all activities related to disaster preparedness and response.
- Budget development and grant distribution/process/system/program analysis, development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation.
- Partnership with key internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to Sentara Healthcare, Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association (VHHA), and the Eastern Regional Healthcare Coalition.
- Projects, committees, physician group committees
