Full Time position with day shift hours and great benefits!
This is a Resident (on site) position at Centre Pointe, Virginia Beach, VA
Travel required for onsite hospital visits
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience working with Business Continuity and Emergency and Disaster Planning
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Healthcare Operations
- EMT-A, EMT-B, EMT-I; EMT Paramedic; Paramedic; Registered Nurse RN
- Bachelors Degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security or Related Field.
- Registered Nurse must sign BSN agreement if BSN is not completed
- Current licensure may be waived for applicants who have attained one of the following certifications: Certified Professional Continuity Practitioner, Associate Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, Incident Command System Certified (IS100, 200, 700, 800)or National Incident Management System Instructor, First Receiver Awareness Instructor, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree Preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Policy and Procedure Development experience
Primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the coordination and oversight of system wide emergency operations and disaster preparedness procedures for the Sentara Healthcare organization
- Oversee budget development and grant distribution/ process/ system/ program analysis, development, implementation, facilitation, evaluation, restructuring, monitoring and/ or consultation
- Collaborates with Sentara Healthcare, Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Eastern Region Healthcare Coalition, the Manager of Business Continuity nd Emergency Management will provide leadership, coordination and oversight of the equipment, personnel and activities related to disaster response and preparedness
