12-hour shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License – Compact/Multi-State License OR
- Registered Nurse (RN) License – Single State License – Virginia
- RN-Associate's Degree OR
- RN-Bachelor's Degree OR
- RN-Diploma OR
- RN-Master's Degree OR
- RN-Doctorate Degree
- 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Flexi/PRN Commitments:
- Floats as required
- Shift rotation to meet the needs of the unit
- 1 Summer/1 Winter/1 Floating holiday or as determined by the unit
- 3 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
- 60 minimum hours per 6 week schedule per the needs of the hiring unit
- 2 years clinical experience
- Attend 25% of monthly unit meetings or as determined by the unit
Job Description:
- The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
- The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
- Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Emergency Care – ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire.
- All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
