Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital, located in Charlottesville, VA, is hiring a Patient Access Representative – Full Time schedule.

This is a float position Monday- Friday with varying 8-hour shifts from 6:30am – 7:00pm. Incumbent will work in the at the Proffit Road location, Spring Creek location, or Sentara Martha Jefferson hospital.

As a Patient Access Rep with Sentara, you will work in the Emergency Department, Patient Registration, or a doctor's office. This position's primary duties include positively identifying the patient, collecting demographic and insurance information, and admitting the patients. Requirements:

• 2 years of Data Entry Experience
• 2 years of Customer Service Experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree can be considered in lieu of two years of experience.
• 6 Months of healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of third party payers, ICD-9/ CPT coding and medical terminology preferred
• Proficiency in clerical skills including electronic communication and keyboard required.
