POSITION OVERVIEW
- Full time: 40 hours per week
- Interview will be multi-step. First interview with leader will be virtual. Second interview will be in-person.
In this role you will have responsibility for:
- Providing project management and facilitation
- Clinical oversight and support for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement, medical staff performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Organizing relevant task forces
- Review of evidenced based literature/benchmarks
- Establishment of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of quality and appropriateness of care, continuous improvement, and achieving targeted goals
- Medical record review
- Occurrence/complaint investigation
- Tracking/trending medical staff performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- 3 or more years of current experience in QI related activities preferred (medical record review, accreditation, PI activities)
- Experience in a clinical area of an acute care facility with demonstrated leadership, teaching and QI/PI facilitation skills preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred (DNV or JCAHO)
- Experience with data analysis, Excel
- Knowledge around publicly reported quality data (CMS 5-star, QHIP, Leapfrog)
- Must be able to link the clinical effectiveness and clinical informatics arenas
- May require local travel and use of personal automobile
- Requires flexibility in work schedule
License / Certification
- Virginia or Multi-State Registered Nurse License in good standing
