***(RN) Cardiac Cath Holding Unit ***
This is a full-time position with swing shift hours located in Virginia Beach, VA.
No weekends, holidays, or call required for this position.
$$$Up to $15,000 Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Allowance Available for Qualified Candidates$$$
Job Requirements
- Education: BSN or MSN preferred.
- New Hire Education Requirement: All new RNs who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to enrollment in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and successfully obtaining their BSN within 5 years of hire.
- Required: RN Licensed
- Preferred: Prior experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures and working with the Xper hemodynamic system to monitor and document procedures.
- Required: BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: ACLS
- Required: Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care – ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care – Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire.
Position Overview
Cardiac Cath Holding is a cardiac assessment, recover, and evaluation unit. The Registered Nurse will prep and recover patients that are having cardiac catheterizations (interventional and diagnostic), electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablations, cardioversions, ICDs/pacemakers, Afib, impellas, IABP, loop recorder implants, and Vascular and IR cases. RN will perform TEE and Cardioversions at bedside. The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Sentara Healthcare by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system. The Registered nurse collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care. This unit has staff satisfaction rate of 98% for 2020 MOT scores. We are a highly engaged team that is looking for the right individual to help with the growth of our program as we have opened our third Cath Lab.
