Sentara Heart Hospital located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Cardiac Technician for the Cardiac Procedural Recovery Short Stay Unit!

This position is Full Time Days:  36 hours a week working 7am to 7pm.

Department Overview:

The Cardiac Procedural Recovery & Short Stay Unit (CPRS) is a 6-bed unit that will be open Mon 11AM-Sat 11AM. Our typical patient population will consist of Cardiac patients post procedure who require an overnight stay, Cardiac patients from the ED, and Facility to facility transfers for known cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:  

The expectations for this role will complete all the patients ADLs, assist with ambulating, and routine care as a Nursing Care Partner/Patient Care Tech but with the added competencies of starting PIVs and maintaining hemostasis, and assisting nurses in monitoring telemetry. On-the-job training required.

Required:

High School Grad or Equivalent

Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)

Patient Care experience
