Sentara is hiring a Temporary Scheduler/Customer Service Representative for the Clinical Access Centralized Scheduling Department.
*Estimated 3-4 month temporary assignment.
Minimum Requirements:
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Two years of Customer Service experience. Experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically Laboratory preferred *Experience scheduling patient appointments
*High Volume call center experience preferred
*Epic EMR experience preferred
*Data entry skills
*Must be available for a start date as soon as possible
The position is located in Norfolk, VA or could be remote – work from home is available only in these states:

This is a Temporary full-time day shift position Mon-Fri between the hours of 8:00am-5:30pm.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for handling incoming calls to effectively address eligibility, claim, and payment issues or to address and perform patient scheduling and referral work.
Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education.
Responsible for all areas of customer service as it pertains to research and resolution of telephone inquiries.
Schedules a high volume of procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system.
Accountable for accurately and completely obtaining required information in the scheduling process, ensuring the correct patient and procedure requested, has been scheduled.
Responsible for order entry process, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance/analysis, and various clerical duties within scope of role.
