Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU!
Shift: Flexi Nights – 7pm to 7am

As a dedicated heart hospital with 112 inpatient beds and 36 pre- and post-procedural rooms for patients undergoing outpatient heart procedures, Sentara Heart Hospital’s advanced setting was built from the ground up for superior heart care and continues to be the choice for consumers in the mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview:
This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.
Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. There are many different specialties where you can perform and grow your nursing skills in areas of interest to you. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Education/License/Certifications:
Diploma RN, associate degree RN, bachelor’s degree RN, or master’s degree RN.
All Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS with 1-year.
RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
