Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

- $70.00/hr
- NIGHT shift, 7pm-7am
- 14-week assignment
- No benefits
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Other/National
- Respiratory Therapist License – Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Other/National
- Clinical Respiratory Care experience – 1 year
- ALD – Associate's Level Degree – Respiratory Therapy
- Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
Job Description:
- The Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon the overall pulmonary management in identifying and implementing physician directed respiratory care interventions for an individual or a group of patients.
- Works cooperatively with nursing and other health care team members for professional respiratory care practice for all patients ranging in ages from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings.
- Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients.
- May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.

Sentara Leigh Hospital is a Magnet Status, 250-bed facility featuring all patient-friendly private rooms and specializing in orthopedic, gynecological and urological services. Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care. The hospital offers a full-service Emergency Room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, GI, and Oncology services. It also encompasses a Family Maternity Center.
