Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Certifications – National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR
• Tech in Surgery TS-C – Certification – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Licensed Surgical Technologist – State license – Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA)
• TS – Trade School Graduate – Surgical Technologist
• Previous Operating Room experience

Job Description:

• Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.
• May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.
• Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted.
